Absolut Pears Vodka Recipes

Cocktail Recipes For the Latest Trend in Flavored Vodka

Jul 4, 2007 Angie Rayfield

In early 2007, Absolut Vodka introduced new Absolut Pears, a premium pear flavored vodka - the first of its kind.

Keeping with Absolut's traditional methods, Absolut Pears is made from all natural ingredients, and has no added sugar or sweetener. According to aficionados, what it does have is a light, delicate pear flavor that is a perfect addition to fruity cocktails.

Pear Martini

  • 2 oz. pear vodka
  • splash of grapefruit juice
  • squeeze of fresh lime

Combine ingredients in a shaker over ice. Shake, and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wheel. (A pair slice would almost make a nice garnish, but not likely to be found in most garnish bins!)

Mang-ito

  • 2 parts pear vodka
  • 1/2 part pineapple juice
  • 1/2 part sweetened iced tea
  • 3 dashes ginger juice
  • 5-6 fresh mint leaves
  • 5-6 mango cubes

Muddle the mint and mango cubes in a mixing glass. Add vodka and ginger juice, then shake. Pour into a highball glass, and top with pineapple juice and sweetened ice tea.

Lucky Floridians can find locally grown mangoes, maturing in June and July. Choose a mango with smooth skin with no holes or signs of bruising - yummy! In Miami, you can find the Mang-ito at Setai, a super-deluxe hotel in South Beach.
