Bloody Mary Cocktail Variations

Bloody Maria, Bloody Bull, Danish Mary and Highland Mary Recipes

There's no need to stop with just a Bloody Mary. The original cocktail is a great jumping off point for other drinks.

Not that there's anything wrong with the classic Bloody Mary, of course. It's one of the great classic drinks of the 20th century. But with variations like these, it's almost impossible not to experiment!

Bloody Maria

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with a celery stick.

*Cholula Hot Sauce is a pepper sauce made in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico - also the birthplace of tequila. Its taste is different and distinctive from the traditional tabasco sauce.

Bloody Bull

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour over ice in a tall glass.

Danish Mary

Combine all six ingredients and mix well. Pour over ice in a tall glass, and garnish with a sprig of fresh dill.

Highland Mary

Combine all ingredients, mixing well, and pour over ice in a tall glass. Garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary, crushed slightly.

Borscht Mary (or Russian Mary)

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour over ice in a tall glass, and serve garnished with a sprig of parsley.

Bloody Mariner

Combine all ingredients, mixing well. Pour over ice in a tall glass, and garnish with a celery stalk.

Red Snapper

Combine all ingredients and mix well, pouring over ice in a tall glass. Serve garnished with a celery stalk and a lime wedge.

Irish Bloody Mary

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour into a tall glass over ice, and garnish with a pickle spear. Optional: rim the glass with celery salt.

Bloody Maru

Combine all ingredients except the tomato juice in an old-fashioned glass half-filled with ice cubes and stir well. Add tomato juice to taste. Stir again and serve.
