Cranberry based cocktails to fill your holiday guests with cheer. Recipes include punches, rum, vodka and bourbon based drinks.
Cranberries were readily available for the original Thanksgiving feast and were used by both the colonists and the Wampanoag to add tartness to recipes. Although these drinks weren’t served at the first Thanksgiving, they are sure to add a dash of fun to all holiday feasts.
Cranberry Punches - What says “it’s a party” more than a bowl of ruby punch?
Combine all ingredients except ginger ale, chill. Add ginger ale into bowl to serve.
Boil water and sugar on medium for 10 minutes. Add lemon, cranberry, pineapple juice, cinnamon and ginger. Heat until just boiling. Let cool a bit and add to punch bowl. Garnish with lemon.
Shake rum, cranberry juice and triple sec with crushed ice, strain into martini glasses, top with cherries.
Combine all ingredients with crushed ice in shaker. Pour into chilled old fashioned glasses.
Stir vodka and juice, add to highball glass, pouring over ice. Squeeze lime wedge into drink and drop in.
Combine all ingredients with crushed ice, strain over ice cubes into highball glass.
Shake ingredients with crushed ice into shaker. Pour into highball glass.
Pour bourbon into collins glass filled with ice cubes. Add equal parts of each juice. Stir.
Pour all ingredients into collins glass, stir well. Add ice cubes, top with cherry.
Chop cranberries in food processor, combine with sugar in mixing bowl, coating berries well. Stir in corn syrup, vodka, water and brandy until blended. Pour mixture into glass jar, cover and store in a cool, dark place for at least 1 month, stirring and shaking jar every few days. To use, strain liquid through a fine strainer.
