Quick and Easy Shots & Slammers

Spring and St. Patrick's Day bring thoughts of celebrating with beer, whiskey, and maybe a fun shot.

The traditional Irish shooter is probably a simple shot of good Irish whiskey, but these are flavorful and a lot of fun. Not to mention easy! Most shots are as simple as combining all the ingredients, shaking, and pouring into a shot glass, although a few of these are layered drinks.

After 8 Use equal parts Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kahlua, and green Creme de Menthe. Shake, and serve in a shotglass.

Irish Cuddle Combine equal parts Bailey’s Irish Cream and amaretto. Shake, and serve in a shotglass.

Cement Mixer Combine 3 parts Irish cream liquer and 1 part lime juice. Shake, and serve in a shotglass.

Erin Cross Use equal parts Celtic Crossing, Irish Cream, and Irish Whiskey. Serve layered in a shotglass.

Nutty Irishman Combine equal parts Irish Cream and Frangelico. Shake and serve in a shotglass.

Extra Nutty Irishman Combine equal parts Irish Mist, Frangelico, and Irish Cream. Shake and serve in a shotglass topped with whipped cream.

Fruity Irishman Combine 2 parts Irish Cream with 1 part Midori melon liqueur. Shake and serve in a shotglass.

Another option for these two liqueurs would be an Irish Frog. Chill both liqueurs, and layer the Irish Cream over the Midori.

Irish Cowboy Combine equal parts Bailey’s Irish Cream and bourbon, shake and serve in a shotglass.

Irish Flag Use equal parts green Creme de Menthe, Irish Cream, and Grand Marnier. Layer in a shotglass in order.

Irish Frost To one shot Irish Cream liqueur, add a splash of cream of coconut and a splash of half and half. Shake and serve in a shotglass.

Irish Car Bomb

Layer the Bailey’s & the Jameson in that order in a shotglass. Pour the Guinness into a pint glass or a beer mug and let settle. Drop the shot glass into the Guinness and chug. Fair warning – drink it FAST, or it will curdle.

Dirty Irish Whiskey Mix 1 part Bailey’s Irish Cream and 1 part Jameson Irish Whiskey. Shake with ice, and strain into a shot gloss.

Fuzzy Irishman Take 1 part raspberry liqueur, 1 part butterscotch schnapps, and 1 part Irish cream. They do not need to be layered, but pour in the shotglass in the order given.

Irish Gold Mix equal parts Bailey’s Irish Cream and Goldschlager Cinnamon Schnapps. Stir and serve in a shot glass.

Irish Pirate Use equal parts Captain Morgan spiced rum and Irish Mist. Combine and serve in a shot glass.
