St. Patrick's Day Drinks To Satisfy The Irishman In Everyone

Escort your guests into St. Patricks Day delight with these Irish based cocktails, punches, green drinks and nogs.

Whiskey Based Punches and Cocktails

Leprechaun Punch for 30

  • 2 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • ½ cup sugar syrup
  • ½ cup Triple Sec
  • 1/75 liter bottle of blended whiskey (80 proof)
  • 2 quarts soda water
  • 1 block of ice
  • Multiple slices of assorted fruits (oranges, cherries or pineapple)

Mix orange juice and lemon juices in punch bowl. Add 4 ounces of sugar syrup and 4 ounces of Triple Sec. Add 1.75 liter bottle of blended whiskey. Add ice block and stir. Just prior to serving add soda and garnish with fruits.

Smashed Irishman

  • 8 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons sugar syrup
  • 3 ounce Irish Whiskey
  • 1 mint sprig

Place mint leaves on bottom of glass. Add syrup and combine well. Fill glass with crushed ice. Add whiskey. Stir. Garnish with sprig of mint.

Snooty Irishman

  • 1 sugar cube
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 3 tablespoons Irish whiskey
  • 6 ounce champagne
  • 1 lemon twist

Place the sugar cube into a champagne flute. Add bitters and whiskey. Pour in chamapagne. Garnish with lemon.

Derby Mint Julep

  • 2 tablespoons sugar syrup
  • 3.5 ounce bourbon
  • 4 mint sprigs

Fill julep cup with crushed ice, add sugar syrup. Stir and add bourbon. Stir and garnish with mint sprigs.

Shamrock Stinger

  • 3 tablespoons bourbon
  • 2 teaspoons Southern Comfort
  • 2 teaspoons green crème de mente

Pour all ingredients into shaker 2/3 full of ice. Shake well. Strain into glasses filled with crushed ice.

Irish Coffee

  • 4 tablespoons Irish whiskey
  • 1 ½ tablespoon sugar syrup
  • 4 ounce hot coffee
  • 2 tablespoons whipped cream
  • 1 ½ teaspoon crème de menthe (green, of course)

Combine whiskey, syrup and coffee into coffee glass (tall type). Stir. Spoon whipped cream to float on top. Carefully drizzle crème de menthe over the cream. Enjoy.

Pot Of Gold Eggnog for 8

  • 4 eggs
  • 8 ounce Irish whiskey
  • 3 ounce Irish Mist liquer
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1 quart milk
  • Ground nutmeg

Whisk eggs until frothy, add whiskey, Irish Mist, vanilla, cinnamon and allspice. Slowly add milk whisking until mixed. Pour into glasses. Sprinkle with nutmeg.

Wearin' O The Green Drinks

Irish Grasshopper

  • 4 tablespoons crème de menthe (green)
  • 4 tablespoons white crème de cacao
  • 2 tablespoons light cream

Pour ingredients into shake with 2/3 ice cube. Shake well. Strain into chilled cocktail glass.

Floating Irishmen

  • 2 tablespoons grenadine
  • 2 tablespoons green crème de menthe
  • 2 tablespoons light rum

Pour in order over the back of a spoon into a glass, carefully floating one on top of the other.

Lucky Melon Ball

  • 3 tablespoons melon liquer
  • 1 ½ tablespoons vodka
  • 2 ½ tablespoons pineapple juice

Pour all ingredients into shakes 2/3 full of ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into glass.

Irish Kamikaze

  • 2 ounce vodka
  • 1 tablespoon triple sec
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice (fresh)

Pour all ingredients into a shaker 2/3 full of ice. Shake well. Strain into glass.

Four Leaf Martinis

  • ¼ liter vodka
  • ½ liter sour apple mix
  • Sweet vermouth (splash)

In a pitcher add 2 trays of ice, vodka, sour apple mix and a splash of vermouth. Stir and strain into martini glasses. Enjoy your good luck!
